Rozi is the second woman I tagged along with in Sydney. Rozi is an exceptional kickboxer who practises a particular form of the sport called Muay Thai kickboxing. It is near-full body combat. I winced as I watched her train (and sweat). Like Tanya, who she trains with at the Bondi Boxing and Muay Thai gym, she is intelligent, beautiful and has a wicked right hook.

I recently returned from Sydney where I was part of a workshop with legendary Magnum photographer David Alan Harvey. When I wasn’t in the workshop I was hanging out with two amazing women who train at Bondi’s Boxing and Muay Thai gym. Tanya, a promising boxer, is one of them. More images to come… no comments This was the pitch to lure dance party fans to The Republic Hotel in Hobart recently. Billed as a dance party battle between Afrobeats and Dancehall music, DJ Pit went up against DJ and MC Zare Demus. I wouldn’t dare declare the winner but I reckon the crowd was happy so long as the beats kept coming. no comments like this Or at least have a listen to some of their tracks. Their songs are often political and have rude words, so if your ears are sensitive you might want to be careful. no comments
